The Emotional Dimension
Soft Bokeh Lights

Emotions are an essential aspect of being human.

There are feelings about the self, feelings about others, feelings about things that have happened or might happen, feelings about life, feelings about God. Feelings exist on a continuum from the densest rage to the lightest bliss.

Individual life force energy gets trapped within held, blocked, or unexpressed emotions. Energetic 'blocks' develop in the human energy field and

compartmentalize pain.

This 'protection' from pain has the unwanted side effect of preventing the joy of life, which becomes trapped within the energetic blocks.

Feelings that are stopped, dismissed, denied, or withheld contain an uncomfortable energy that builds up over time. Containment is often an unconscious attempt to prevent experiencing what has already happened in the past.

'Hard' feelings that are repeatedly stopped or defended against become harder to manage and to express over time.

'Hard' feelings that are allowed to be expressed with safety and compassion have an opportunity to change into softer feelings that can be healed.

Humans are designed for an active emotional life with natural feelings in flow. They are designed for a wide-ranged, balanced emotional life.

To the extent that a human is willing to feel their difficult emotions, they will be able to enjoy the most pleasurable emotions, too. Meeting the self with compassion is helpful for this process.

Letting feelings move safely and completely, while noticing how they may change--and letting them change--is also helpful.

The safe, honest, and complete expression of feelings is healing in this dimension.
